We are always on the lookout for great talent. At Frosty Elk we have a team that is built around experience in all fields. Even if it does not really matter how old you are, we still want to let you know that most of us are 40+. We have played and built games since the day of dawn, from tabletop games with pen and dices to strong AAA titles. We prefer people who has experience in life, people who knows that it requires years of work to build a great game. Right now everyone on our team is from and are living in Sweden, that does not mean that you have to! But we work standard office hours in Sweden on GMT+1.

Available positions right now!

At this time Frosty Elk does not hire people, we do not pay you salary. Instead you get a percentage of the sales from the released product. All positions are Remote/Freelance, you need your own gear and software.


Animator/3D modeler

As a Animator/3d modeler you will create and iterate on characters and other models. You will also design most of your work  yourself. We need you to have good knowledge of Unreal Engine 4. This position is mainly for animations, but it will also require that you can create models and textures. This position is for the current project “The Plague”.

Required qualifications

  • Knowledge of Unreal 4, animation system.
  • Expert skills in Maya and/or Max.
  • Excellent with Adobe Photoshop.
  • Strong passion for creating and playing games.
  • Speaking Swedish.

Desired qualifications

  • Released at least one AAA game.
  • Experience with Perforce.
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence.
  • Fluent in English.

Environmental artist/3D modeler

Most of your days will most likely be spent working on making new or taking in-game assets and re-creating them. You will work closely with the level-designers to create the best possible environment for our players. This position is mainly for creating and iterate on 3d models and materials. But it will also require you to understand gameplay to be able to build the best possible models for the game. This position is for the current project “The Plague”.

Required qualifications

  • Knowledge of Unreal 4
  • Expert skills in Maya and/or Max.
  • Excellent with Adobe Photoshop.
  • Strong passion for creating and playing games.
  • Speaking Swedish.

Desired qualifications

  • Released at least one AAA game.
  • Experience with Perforce.
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence.
  • Fluent in English.

Programmer

As a programmer, you will be developing the core game mechanics and supporting the artists and level-designers with Blueprint functions. You will be working mainly in Visual Studio C++ and Blueprint but also in Perforce, Amazon WS and JIRA.
This position is for the current project “The Plague”.

Required qualifications

  • Good knowledge in the Unreal 4 C++ API and Blueprint system.
  • Experience in making online multi-player games.
  • Experience with Perforce or similar VCS.
  • Strong passion for creating and playing games.
  • Speaking Swedish.

Desired qualifications

  • Released at least one AAA game.
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence.
  • Experience with Steamworks.
  • Experience with Amazon WS.
  • Fluent in English
